Governors
The Trust is governed by a Board of Directors which is made up of Church of England representatives, the chairs of school governing bodies and the Executive Head Teacher. The Directors appoint people who are locally based to serve on the Local Governing Body for each School in the Trust. The Twyford Local Governing Body is made up of local Church of England representatives, elected staff representatives, elected parent representatives, co-opted Governors, a Directors representative and the Associate Head Teacher. Currently the Chair of the Local Governing Body is Mrs Louise Gibb, an Ealing Deanery Foundation Governor.

Dame Alice Hudson
CEO
Before becoming CEO, Alice had been Executive Headteacher of Twyford CofE Academies Trust since 2012. She was previously Headteacher at Twyford CofE High School since 2002. She joined Twyford in 2000 as Deputy Headteacher then progressed to Acting Headteacher. Prior to Twyford High School she was Deputy Headteacher at Brentside High School, and previous to that she taught at Central Foundation Boys’ School in Islington and Maria Fidelis School in Euston. Alice was educated at Slough Girls’ High School, Leighton Park School and St Hilda’s Oxford where she read English.

Mark Bedford
Headteacher
Before becoming Headteacher at Twyford CofE High School, Mark led Ealing Fields High School as Associate Headteacher from 2018-2023. Prior to this Mark was Deputy Headteacher at William Perkin CofE High School and was a Head of Year at Twyford for 3 years from 2010-2013 after training as a History teacher in south London. Mark was educated at Leicester Grammar School and at Trinity College, Oxford where he read Modern History.

Phil Bennett
Co-Headteacher
Graduated from Huddersfield University with a Music degree in 1999 before training as a Music teacher. His first teaching post was at St Wildrid’s Catholic High School in Wakefield as a Music Teacher and was later appointed as Head of Year 12 and Head of Year 13. He was appointed as Head of Year 8 at Twyford CofE High School in 2005, then progressed to Assistant Headteacher in 2008 and then Deputy Head teacher in charge of Pupil Progress and Pastoral in 2013.

Ann Kearey
Deputy Headteacher
Graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in French and Spanish in 1991. Taught English as Foreign Language in Spain and England before training as a teacher of MFL at Newcastle University in 1993. Following teaching posts at Dormers Wells, Grey Coat Hospital, and Head of MFL at Dormers Wells; she was appointed as Head of MFL at Twyford CofE High School in 2004. In 2009 she was appointed Assistant Headteacher at Twyford, before being appointed Deputy Headteacher in 2013.

Ms Philippa Deacon
Deputy Headteacher for Quality of Curriculum Delivery
Ms Deacon graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in Theology and Religious Studies before gaining experience in the Civil Service and other public sector roles. She qualified as an RE teacher in 2015 and became Head of RE at a school in Hillingdon before joining Ealing Fields as Head of RE and SMSC in 2018, later becoming Assistant Headteacher for SMSC & Wider Learning. In 2023, she joined Twyford as Deputy Headteacher for Quality of Curriculum Delivery.

Mr Leondre Douglas
Deputy Headteacher, Pastoral & Designated Safeguarding Lead
Graduated from the University of Kent with a degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies in 2010 before training as a RE teacher. His first teaching post was at Wembley High Technology College in North West London as a RE teacher. He was appointed as 2i/c RE at Twyford CofE High School in 2013, then progressed to Head of RE in 2015, followed by Head of RE and SMSC lead in 2017. In 2019, he was appointed as the Assistant Headteacher in charge of the lower school and then consequently went on to lead the upper school a year later in 2020. His most recent appointment was in 2023, when he took on the role of Deputy Headteacher in charge of Pastoral in 2023.

Mr Jamie MacDonald-Brown
Assistant Headteacher, Head of Inclusion
Graduated from Surrey University with a degree in Sports Science and Business Studies in 1991. Following a sabbatical year a Student Union Deputy President, he completed a Post Graduate course at Brunel University. Started teaching at Twyford in September 1993, where he became a Head of Year in 1997. Seeing four year groups through over an 18 period years as a Head of Year, he was appointed to Senior Pastoral Lead KS4 in 2015. He was then appointed to Assistant Headteacher- Head of Inclusion in 2018.

Louise Adams
Assistant Headteacher - Wider Learning & Careers IAG
After graduating with a joint honours degree in Drama & Education studies at Bristol University in 2005, Louise then completed her teacher training in Drama through the Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP) in 2006. She was then appointed as a Drama teacher at a secondary school in North Bristol and was there for eight years with roles including Head of Drama, Y11 lead and Wider SLT. After completing the NPQSL, Louise relocated to London and was appointed as Head of Drama at Twyford in 2014. The following year, she was appointed to Head of Wider Learning and in 2018 became Assistant Headteacher for Wider Learning & Careers, and trust lead for Careers in 2020.

Mr Michael Arthur
Assistant Headteacher, Head of 6th Form
Graduated from Monash University with a major in Mathematics and Astrophysics in 2001 before completing a Diploma in Education in 2002. Taught in a state comprehensive school in Melbourne for 5 years before joining Twyford CofE High School in 2008 as a Mathematics teacher. He was appointed as Head of Maths in 2014 and Head of Sixth Form in 2017.

Miss Amarpal Bajwa
Assistant Headteacher, Head of Upper School
Graduated from Royal Holloway University of London in 2013 with a BA in Politics and International Relations and went on to complete an MSc in Empires, Colonialism and Globalisation from The London School of Economics and Political Science in 2014. Following a position in marketing, her first teaching post was at Alec Reed Academy. She joined Twyford as an Assistant Head of Year in 2017, becoming a Key Stage Four Head of Year later that academic year. This was a role she continued in for the next four years. Most recently, in September 2022, she was appointed as Assistant Headteacher, Head of Lower School.

Mr Laurence Smith
Assistant Headteacher, Curriculum & Assessment Organisation & Trust Subject Lead for Science
Graduated in 2003 from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Biological Sciences. He completed his teacher training at Bristol University in 2007. After completing this, he started at Twyford CE High School. His previous roles at Twyford have been Deputy Head of Year (2009), Head of Biology (2011), Head of Accelerated Sciences (2013), Head of Science (2015) and Trust Subject Lead in Science (2019). Most recently, he was appointed to Assistant Headteacher in 2022 and now focuses on Curriculum and Assessment at Twyford, whilst continuing his role as Trust Subject Lead in Science.

Miss Hannah Woodham
Assistant Headteacher, Pastoral / RE Teacher
After graduating from Edinburgh with a degree in Divinity she joined the Teach First programme teaching RE in Uxbridge in 2013. Two years later she joined King Solomon Academy as Head of RE also becoming Head of Year 9 later that year. In 2018 she joined Twyford as Head of Year 8 and later that year was appointed to the wider leadership team as Head of SMSC. In 2020 she was appointed as Head of Lower School and is currently an Assistant Headteacher overseeing SMSC and pastoral life at Twyford alongside working with SMSC leads across the Trust.

Miss Nicola Sale
Assistant Headteacher, Whole School Literacy
Graduated from Durham University with a joint degree in English Literature and History in 2007. Trained to teach through the Teach First program and her first school was Eastbury Comprehensive in Barking, East London. After two years teaching, she joined the Civil Service Fast Stream and worked in both Facilitating the export of livestock products and International Forest Policy before taking on a role in Mumbai, training teachers through the Teach For India Program. Returning to the UK in 2014, she was a founding teacher at Oasis Academy South Bank where she was Head of English for 3 years. She joined Twyford in 2020 as Head of English and wider SLT for Literacy.

Miss Emma Johnston
Assistant Headteacher, Head of Lower School
Graduated from UCL with a History degree in 2010 before training as a History teacher at Twyford CofE High School in 2017. She was appointed as Assistant Head of Year 8 in 2019 and was then appointed as Head of Year 7 the following year. Most recently, she was appointed Assistant Headteacher in 2023.

Michael Harley
Assistant Headteacher, Curriculum & Assessment Organisation
Graduated in 2008 from the University of Sheffield with a degree in Software Engineering. He completed his teacher training at the University of Sheffield in 2011. After completing this, he started at Twyford CE High School. His previous roles at Twyford have been Deputy Head of Maths (2015), Head of Maths (2017), and Trust Subject Lead for Maths (2019). Most recently, he was appointed to Assistant Headteacher in 2022 and now focuses on Curriculum and Assessment at Twyford, whilst continuing in his role as Trust Subject Lead for Maths.
